LIP
Language Interface Pack
LIP is Microsoft's approach to localisation for some languages, which involves a package that in effect is installed over another language version. The degree of translation of the LIP is on the order of 80% of the commands in the software - supposedly the most often used ones. There are apparently LIP packs for Windows and for MS Office.
African languages with MS Office LIP localisation include:

- Swahili - Kipeto cha Kiolesura cha Kiswahili cha Office 2003
